WPOW extends our gratitude to Exhibition Curator Cheryl Diaz-Meyer, whose photo Industry expertise helped shape this year’s exhibition. Diaz-Meyer is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist based in Washington, D.C. She focuses on capturing powerful stories from conflict zones, highlighting the experiences of displaced people and issues of gender and human rights. In 2004, Cheryl, along with David Leeson, won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography for their impactful images of the Iraq war.

Her work is published globally and has earned her numerous accolades, such as Best of Photojournalism, Photographer of the Year, Visa Pour L’Image, and the Overseas Press Club awards. Cheryl's dedication to photojournalism continues to shed light on crucial human stories across the world.
