One of our last stops was Indiana University by WPOW co-director Allison Shelley.

Allison’s visit included a public lecture in the gorgeous Media School atrium attended by the dean, associate dean and director of journalism plus other faculty and students, a meet and greet at the Indiana Daily Student newspaper, a portfolio critique with a recently graduated photojournalism student, and dinner with seven journalism faculty members.

From Associate Professor of Journalism James D. Kelly, “One of my students in my Global Journalism course who attended the lecture this morning is planning a reporting trip to Botswana this winter and said she learned much from Allison about the relationship a reporter must establish with a source in a foreign culture. She said she feels much better prepared now.”
