WPOW hosts a variety of events that educate the public about the role of women in photojournalism and develop the capabilities of women photojournalists, photo editors and multimedia producers through instruction and training.
QUARTERLY EDUCATION MEETINGS
WPOW hosts four educational meetings per year to discuss issues in photojournalism and share work.

MONTHLY GATHERINGS

ANNUAL EXHIBITION
WPOW organizes an annual exhibition of photojournalistic work, curated by leading professionals and featuring the work of women photojournalists in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The exhibition, organized around a different theme each year, is timed to coincide with FotoWeek D.C. MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
The WPOW mentorship program pairs participants in six-month co-mentoring relationships with the goal of promoting a two-way exchange of ideas in order to optimize each person’s skill set and deepen their understanding of the craft of photojournalism.
